Our Factory, Your Brand Partner
Our factory, DSSPL, was established in 2016 by Bhumika Deswal, the founder of Piccola. What started as a small unit with just four people and a monthly turnover of under $200 USD has grown into a leading manufacturing house. Today, DSSPL is home to 195 employees and two modern production facilities located in Gurugram.
We produce over 100,000 dresses every month using 150 advanced, multifunctional machines. Every piece is made with care, in a clean and ethical workspace that is SEDEX certified, ensuring high standards in safety, labor practices, and sustainability.
What truly sets us apart is our commitment to people and the planet. All materials used are OEKO-TEX certified, guaranteeing they are free from harmful substances and safe for both you and the environment. Our team includes expert designers, merchandisers, and production specialists who work together to ensure top-notch quality in every garment.
DSSPL also holds a strong vision for the future: to create a fully women-led manufacturing unit. We aim to train and empower women artisans to lead with creativity and confidence—turning every stitch into a symbol of resilience and craftsmanship.
From ethical manufacturing to global fashion, our factory is the heart of what we do. It’s more than just where we make clothes—it’s where purpose meets passion.
Timeless Tradition
Handblock Printing
Each design is carefully stamped by hand using carved wooden blocks, creating patterns that are rich in tradition and charm.
Naturally Dyed Beauty
Hand Dyeing
Our fabrics are dyed by hand in small batches, giving every piece a soft, organic feel with beautiful, natural color variation.
Stitched with Soul
The Art of Embroidery
Delicate hand embroidery adds texture and elegance, with each stitch telling a story of craftsmanship and care.
More Than Just Handmade
1. Pattern Masters
Our experienced pattern makers are trained in the traditional art of flat paper pattern making. Many now use digital tools, but their roots lie in mastering the manual method—ensuring precision from the very first step.
2. Cutting Team
On a 6-meter-long table, fabric is stacked up to 50 layers high. Our cutting experts lay out pattern pieces with care to minimize waste and make sure every piece of a garment comes from the same fabric layer. This attention to detail helps maintain consistency in every item.
3. Production Department
Our production process is smart and skill-based. Garments are matched with tailors who specialize in specific styles or constructed using group methods depending on the design. The team includes a production manager, stitching in-charge, and seasoned tailors—working together to stay efficient, even during unexpected delays like seasonal rains or material shortages.
4. Finishing Team
The final touches matter. Each piece is carefully checked, pressed, tagged, labeled, and packed. This team ensures that what you receive is not just beautiful—but complete, clean, and ready to wear.
Our Finances
With a humble and low start in 2016, DSSPL rose to a sustainable and consistent growth in last 8 years. The expansions and the turnover has been very steady and robust.
State of the Art Machinery
Our manufacturing units are equipped with over 150 multifunctional, automatic machines, designed to ensure precision, consistency, and speed at every stage of production. These machines help us create detailed styles with efficiency, while also minimizing fabric waste and human error.
From advanced sewing units to automated cutting and pressing systems, our setup allows us to maintain high quality standards, handle large volumes, and still stay flexible for custom or small-batch designs.
Our blend of skilled hands and smart technology means you get the best of both worlds: craftsmanship with scale.
